Buddy Walk®

The Buddy Walk® Was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down Syndrome. The Buddy Walk® has grown from 17 walks in 1995 to more than 260 walks world-wide in 2010. It is our goal to substantially increase the number of walkers each year.
The Buddy walk® is to promote the understanding and acceptance of people with Down Syndrome. Whether you have Down Syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show support, come and join the Buddy Walk®!

Raising Money
Your Family friends and co-workers are encouraged to come walk with us. There is and opportunity for everyone to wear a Buddy Walk® T-shirt by registering for the walk. All funds raised will go to support local programs for people with Down Syndrome and the research, education and advocacy efforts of the National Down Syndrome Society. Ask your friends, Co-workers, and family members to support you and our organization by sponsoring you for $5, $10, $20 or more! We encourage all walkers to collect their donations prior to the Buddy Walk®.

Awards will be given to the top individual and team fund-raisers. Prizes are awarded on money collected and will be mailed to recipients after the walk.
